The UAE's agribusiness giant Al Dahra will operate 40,000 ha of farmland in collaboration with Angola's Ministry of Agriculture and another 30,000 ha with the state-owned GESTERRA.
The Serbian government bought 11 hectares from UAE's Al Dahra to build a stadium. This is the same land that the government sold to Al Dahra seven years ago during a privatisation process, but it has now been repurchased at a price 13 times higher.

A partnership between UAE agribusiness, Al Dahra, and Danish climate agtech company, Agreena, will see the largest consolidated arable farm in the European Union transition to regenerative agriculture.

The negotiations come amid a backdrop of growing scrutiny regarding land leasing practices in Africa. Critics argue that large-scale land acquisitions by foreign firms can lead to land dispossession and adverse environmental impacts. It remains to be seen how Al Dahra addresses these issues.

Abu Dhabi-based firm Al-Dahra agreed to invest $ 400 million to buy eight Serbian farm companies and develop them to grow and process food and fodder for export, in the biggest investment in Serbian agriculture for decades.
According to the companies, the UAE imports nearly 85 to 90 per cent of its food requirements, increasing the need for integrated logistics systems capable of supporting long-term food security goals. The collaboration will combine DP World’s logistics and port infrastructure with Al Dahra’s agricultural sourcing and procurement network.
Qatar dairy company Baladna has signed a memorandum of understanding with Al Dahra Holding to explore a strategic partnership focused on global farming collaboration and long-term animal feed supply, supporting its dairy operations across multiple markets, including Syria.
Egyptian PM Ibrahim Mahlab met with UAE Minister of State Ahmed Al Jaber and officials of Al Dahra Agriculture to assure them that the Egyptian government is removing obstacles to the company's projects in Toshka.
