The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) on Friday established a partnership with Old Mutual Investment Group (OMIG) of South Africa to co-invest $200 million in agriculture development projects.
A consortium of civil society organizations on Friday opposed plans by the government to give South African farming investors large tracks of land for agricultural purposes.
Old Mutual Investment Group will increase its overall equity stake in UFF African Agri Investments to 49%, which is pursuing investment opportunities of up to $500 million in African farmland over the next three years.
Agri All Africa client-farmers convened to discuss the implementation of agriculture investments in priority destinations: Zambia, Nigeria, DRC, Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Namibia and Sudan.
