An Australian family, backed by one of South Africa's richest men, has bought its sixth Northern Territory cattle property, acquiring Larrizona Station for $17 million.
The project led by the South African company will cultivate 60,000 hectares of land in order to produce 300,000 tons of maize and 90,000 tons of soya annually.

A company backed by one of South Africa’s richest men is setting itself up to be a major player in the Northern Territory’s beef sector after paying $70 million for two major cattle stations, Tanumbirini and Forrest Hill.
WFI’s estates represent the largest avocado-growing footprint in the world, with operations in all major growing regions including southern Africa, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and the state of California.
Livestock Wealth started with 26 cows in 2015 and currently manages a herd of around 2000 cattle at four farms across South Africa on behalf of 800 investors from South Africa, Germany, the US, Canada, the UK and China.
