Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development says his Ministry is working actively with state governments to secure land for genuine investors to address the issue of access to land.

Wilmar, the world's largest palm oil processor, is building a massive plantation on forest lands illegally gifted to Nigeria's former president, Olusegun Obasanjo. The local community wants these lands back.
"We have also approved the allocation of 20, 000 hectares of land to a Chinese company for rice production," says state governor, Alhaji Garba Umar.
Dangote Industries, une des plus importantes compagnie du Nigéria, veut produire de la canne à sucre sur 40,000 ha au Sénégal.
