Carbon Assets Nigeria Limited has signed an MOU with Jigawa State for a project that will span 32,000 hectares, plant over 4 million trees, and generate $48 million-$144 million in revenue from the sale of carbon credits.

Nigeria's Niger State has promised to make available 1.2 million hectares of land for use as the Federal Government secures a $2.5B livestock investment with Brazil's JBS, one of the world’s largest meat processing enterprises.

Agbeyewa Farms, a subsidiary of Cavista Holding, says its farm in Ekiti State is currently harvesting about 380 hectares but intends to expand to 10,000 ha.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state, Nigeria signed a $684 million contract agreement with China Overseas Engineering Group Company Limited and China Railway Engineering Corporation that includes 50,000 hectares of land for a Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone.

The Governor of Nigeria's Nasarawa State says the implementation of the Framework for Responsible Investment in Land-Intensive Agriculture (FRILIA), part of a World Bank economic transformation agenda programme, will attract large-scale private agricultural investments.
