Tech giant Apple is among a pool of global investors pouring millions into Queensland's macadamia nut industry, looking to secure carbon-saving "natural capital assets".
Foreign investors held registered interests in 50.262 million hectares of Australian agricultural land at 30 June 2025, according to new data tabled in Federal Parliament.
The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority has signed an MoU with UK‑based Asset Green Limited for a $496 million large‑scale integrated dairy operation that will combine a 20,000 hectare forage farm and a 10,000‑milking cow dairy barn.

London-based food and agriculture investor, Cibus Capital, is preparing to offload its 1000ha orchard portfolio, capable of producing 3.7 million kilograms of almonds annually.

Brisbane-headquartered CPC now adds a substantial sheep flock to the roughly 300,000 head of cattle carrying capacity it now has across more than nine properties, covering more than 3.2 million hectares of Australia.
One of Australia’s largest cattle producers, Consolidated Pastoral Company, now owned by UK billionaire Guy Hands, has acquired a 711,638-hectare sheep station in Western Australia for $35 million amid the company’s rapid ramp-up into the sector.
The initiative dubbed “Tiisi Tenga” (Land of Trees) is expected to restore about 200,000 hectares of degraded lands across 20 communities, mostly along the White Volta River, with a target to sequester approximately 3.4 tonnes of carbon per hectare.
Regenerate Asset Management will invest an initial €25 million to acquire over 2,000 hectares of farmland under dairy production in Denmark.
