As a result of the war between Russia and Ukraine, more than 600,000 hectares of land owned by agri-food companies from the TOP-100 ranking are in territories controlled by the Russian army.
Shareholders of the Agro-Region group, which consists of nine companies and is one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural holdings, finalized the sale of 100% of the company to Andriy Verevsky’s Enselco group.
Kernel, one of Ukraine’s largest agribusiness groups, has acquired a major agricultural holding with 41,000 hectares of farmland and a network of grain elevators, in a deal valued at over $100mn, the company confirmed this week.

MHP, a Ukrainian agribusiness company with massive poultry and grain farms, says the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) has acquired a 12.6% stake in the company.
