Shareholders of the Agro-Region group, which consists of nine companies and is one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural holdings, finalized the sale of 100% of the company to Andriy Verevsky’s Enselco group. Experts indicate that this deal highlights strategic investor interest in high-quality Ukrainian agricultural assets.

The Agro-Region group manages 41,000 hectares across four regions in Ukraine and has grain elevator capacities totaling approximately 200,000 tons. In 2023, Enselco separated from Verevsky’s Kernel agroholding and now manages 134,000 hectares in the Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions. Kernel’s total land bank comprises about 360,000 hectares.

As a result of this acquisition, Kernel and Enselco will have a combined land bank that exceeds that of the largest agricultural holding in the EU by nearly ninefold – over 530,000 hectares compared to Romania’s Agricost, which has 57,000 hectares. The cost for Verevsky to acquire Agro-Region and its assets will be at least $100M.
