Vinamilk, Lao-Jagro partner in organic dairy farm and resort Vientiane Times | 28 May 2019
Vinamilk, Vietnam’s largest dairy company, has teamed up with Lao and Japanese businesses to build an organic dairy farm and resort in Xieng Khuang province, Laos. The first phase of the farm will cover 5,000 ha and the second phase is expected to expand the farm to 15,000-20,000 ha.

Five from China charged over illegal banana plantation in Myanmar protected forest Radio Free Asia | 20 May 2019
China-backed banana tissue-culture plantations, banned in Laos and Thailand, began popping up in Myanmar about 12 years ago. A report issued earlier this year by Land Security and Environmental Conservation Network indicated that that there are more than 100,000 acres of banana plantations in Kachin state.
