Belarus, Kazakhstan to implement joint projects in agriculture
MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Kazakhstan plan to implement joint projects in the agricultural sector, Belarus' Agriculture and Food Deputy Minister Vladimir Grakun told journalists in Astana on 28 October, BelTA has learned.
“The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan has confirmed its interest in building a dairy farm for 1,200 head in Kazakhstan. There is a partner, contracts are being signed. Belarusian technologies, materials, equipment will be used, dairy cattle will be supplied. Work will begin this year and continue into 2023,” said Vladimir Grakun.
There is also interest in Belarusian veterinary drugs, joint production is under discussion. “The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan will suggest a partner to cooperate with us. And from the Belarusian side this will be BelVitunipharm,” the deputy minister said.
In addition, during the negotiations, Kazakhstan expressed interest in buying Belarusian compound feed, premixes, amino acids, as well as in switching to Belarusian potato seeds.
