Taiwan firm plans to invest $2.5 bln in livestock farms, wharves in Ha Tinh

Taiwan’s Wei Yu Engineering Company has sought licenses from the central province of Ha Tinh to build a US$1 billion livestock farming and food processing complex and a $1.5 billion wharf.

The farming project would have 16 pig, chicken and vegetable farming zones and food processing plants, news website VnExpress reported.

The other involves construction of five wharves at Vung Ang Port.

The two will require a combined 1,000 hectares in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.

Ha Tinh authorities have asked Wei Yu Engineering about its financial plans and expected economic benefits from the projects.
