China looks to Ukrainian farmland investments

GreenWorld BVI - Green Investments

One of the major themes we have observed in global farmland and agriculture investing has been efforts by farmland-poor countries to purchase agricultural land outside of its borders. At the leading edge of this trend has been China, which is now contemplating farmland investing in Ukraine. This is on top of China’s closely eyeing farmland and agriculture investments in Brazil. In both Ukraine and Brazil, China’s pursuit of farmland investments is causing anxiety in local populations.
