Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd says it has acquired the 1,800 acres to develop a 1.2 million broiler capacity, establish a state-of-the-art broiler processing plant, a beef processing facility, multiple hatcheries, fish ponds, and a dam.
The project, spanning 20,000 hectares in Madhya Pradesh State, will see up to 11.6 million mixed native trees planted across farmer and community land.

Already in conflict with local communities over land grabbing, Plantation et Huilerie du Congo (PHC) has just acquired new concessions to expand its palm oil plantations in Boteka. This deprived local communities of nearly 2,500 hectares of arable land.
Australia-based Costa Group has launched a new blueberry farming project on the Bolaven Plateau in Laos, starting with 17 hectares of crops at Paksong.
The project, funded by the government's Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund, will initially support Tiamin Rice in cultivating approximately 30,000 hectares of land in Gamawa.
Al Dahra Group is interested in 180,000 acres. Selu Ltd, another private party has eyes on 20,000. Currently, NIA has 10,000 acres under irrigation with plans to add another 10,000 in the medium term.
