Qatar intends to invest in Azerbaijan’s agriculture

Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov has today met with the representatives of Qatar Holding. The Ministry told APA-Economics that the meeting aimed to study opportunities on investing in Azerbaijan’s agriculture by that holding. 

Asadov said the relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar are at high level and our country has useful investment environment: “For this purpose, joint researches in agrarian sector, studying export opportunities are important and will support cooperation in this sphere”.

Deputy Head of the Business Development Department of the Holding Mohammad al Mosallam noted agriculture plays an important role in Azerbaijan’s economy and they are interested in investing in this sphere.

For development of cooperation, both sides appointed coordinators. The meeting has also been attended by the Qatar’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Jassem Al Thani.
