Karuturi stadium swallowed by the lake
The Karuturi stadium in Naivasha, Kenya, has swallowed by the risiig waters of Lake Naivasha. The stadium is now a fishing ground and the Karuturi flower farm - owned until now by Indian multinational Karaturi Global Ltd, now under liquidation - has also been taken away.
"The rising waters in the lake have been attributed to siltation, deforestation, increased rainfall and shifting of the earth plates in the Rift Valley." And it may takes years to subside.
