Nasako Besingi: Freedom to protect the environment 2018

Environmentalist Nasako Besingi has been leading efforts since the 1990s to combat deforestation in Cameroon. Through his organization Struggle to Economize the Future Environment (SEFE),  Besingi defends not only the environment in Cameroon but also the country's marginalized English-speaking minority. In his talk, he shares how he has faced governmental censorship, imprisonment, and even death threats for his work.
