Sudan will focus on food security at Arab eco summit -- finance minister

KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Sudan seeks to focus on Arab food security during the Arab Economic Summit, which will kick off here on Monday, said the African state's Finance and National Economy Minister Awadh Al-Jazz.

Speaking to KUNA upon arrival here Tuesday night to participate in the summit, he said, "Sudan will work for boosting Arab food security ... we have extensive land plots, and great water and animal resources."

He added, "Our doors are open to all our brothers in the Gulf, and Kuwaitis, and we call on them to invest in Kuwait for the interest of us all."

He thanked the Kuwaiti government for hosting this summit, which he said would be "comprehensive."
