Monarques, princes, aristocrates, seigneurs, grands propriétaires, industriels ou investisseurs aujourd’hui, quelque soit l’époque, leur statut et le nom qu’on leur donne, se sont octroyés des droits sur des territoires où vit une population rurale dont les activités tournent autour de l’agriculture vivrière.
