Kazakhstan not to sell land to China - PM Karim Massimov

ASTANA. December 14. KAZINFORM -- Kazakhstan will not sell land to China. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced it at the national session on agroindustrial complex held in the Kazakh government on Monday.

"Resonance in mass media, society on occasion of the statement as if we want to sell land to china. Nobody will give land to the Chinese. It is written in the Constitution, that it is forbidden by the Land Code. The land can belong only to a citizen of Kazakhstan", the Premier said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the question was in how to use land and where to sell production. We should produce, and if there is a customer, let's sell it. People specially speculate on such topics.
