The FSN Forum invites interested parties to an online discussion on farmland acquisitions

The Global Food Security and Nutrition Forum (http://km.fao.org/fsn/) is an open network for resource and knowledge sharing in food security and nutrition facilitated by FAO.

The Forum hosts online discussions on food security and nutrition related issues and brings together, as of today, 1350 members from over 140 countries.

The discussion “Land Grab or Development opportunity?” has just been launched and invites members to comment and share their views on the issue of foreign acquisitions of developing countries’ farmland.

The topic has been raised by Denis Drechsler, coordinator of the Policy Brief series of FAO’s Economic and Social Development Department, and is based on work done by FAO on this issue, such as
