La Convergence globale des luttes pour la terre et l’eau (CGLTE-TOGO), annonce une caravane qu’elle organisera du 10 au 30 novembre prochain dans plusieurs pays de l’Afrique de l’ouest. La caravane sera consacrée à sensibiliser et plaider autour du droit à la terre et l’eau dans les communautés rurales, ainsi qu’aux questions du changement climatique.

This international conference will bring together a wide diversity of stakeholders — governments, local communities, Indigenous Peoples’ organizations, private investors, food and resource companies, and conservation organizations — that have a direct, common, and urgent interest in clarifying and securing the ownership of these lands and resources.
Rural women's rights to access and control over land and resources are hampered by aggressive corporate control and gender disparities. The session is an opportunity for sharing of struggles, lessons and key strategies from women's movements who resisted corporate control and asserted their rights to their land, resources and livelihood.

La Via Campesina et la Campagne mondiale pour la Réforme agraire - en appliquant la méthodologie d'un atelier- séminaire international sur la Mise en oeuvre d'une Réforme agraire au XXIème siècle - souhaiterait analyser le contexte mondial actuel, la dynamique et les demandes locales à propos de la crise de l'agriculture afin de pouvoir arriver à une vue d'ensemble claire et commune ainsi qu'à un agenda dans le but de mettre en oeuvre une réforme agraire qui devra inclure la souveraineté alimentaire, l'agro-écologie, la biodiversité et les intérêts des femmes et des jeunes. Serikat Petani Indonesia (SPI) accueillera l'atelier et le séminaire avec la participation des membres de LVC ainsi que d'autres mouvements sociaux, de chercheurs progressistes et de nos alliés.
Asian Peasant Coalition (APC), in cooperation with PAN Asia Pacific (PANAP) and other organizations, will hold a two-day conference on land reform from 18-19 April in Jakarta,Indonesia. The conference is being held in the context of massive landlessness, land-grabbing, land-use conversions and plunders of natural resources.
The conference will explore the phenomenon of land grab. Speakers, panelists and papers will look at country case studies, challenges, advantages and disadvantages of the sale and lease of large swathes of arable land to powerful foreign individuals, multinationals and governments.
The Pan African Land hearing looks to recognise and profile the struggles of ordinary people. It will give those affected by land grabs the opportunity to share their experiences and to explore with a high level panel what can be done to defend their rights and receive justice where they have been violated.
